Code-specific guidance for E1
Your Uline refrigerator is showing E1. On the under-counter and built-in refrigeration line that character typically points to a thermistor or temperature-sensor signal the control board cannot read as expected—often an open-circuit branch of the sensor diagnostic.
Note the cabinet temperature with a separate thermometer, listen for the compressor cycling, and write down whether the code appeared after a power blink or a defrost cycle. Avoid pulling the unit out of cabinetry yourself—built-in installs are sensitive to finishes.

What to track before you call
- Exact timing: note which cycle step, mode, or temperature setting triggered E1.
- Repeatability: record whether the code returns immediately after reset or only under heavier demand.
- Related symptoms: capture any unusual sounds, heat changes, leaks, smells, or electrical trips.
- Model details: keep model and serial ready so we can route the right parts and test path.
